Meeeeee

I am the same but different. In high school I was a shadow. I didn't want to talk to anyone because I was afraid of them not liking me. I was insecure and a never wanted to be out of my comfort zone. I thought everyone hated me and I always felt out of place and like a different person. I grew up a little and learned some things which I'm very glad to have learned. Now I live in Tennessee where there are no strings attached. No family name to worry about. No religious obligations. No expectations to live up to. I could be Kurt. Today it even amazes me about how much I changed. From never talking to anyone to talking to people I've never met before. I do what I want because I don't care what people think. I'll talk to anyone. I'll go to events where I don't know anyone and just talk to everyone. It is uncomfortable sometimes but the fact that i've constantly put myself in that situation is amazing. It sounds like I'm bragging but I'm not. My point is.... I'm myself here. I don't have to fake it for people. I don't have to pretend to protect a name. It's awesome. Everyone should try it.

and they rode on their high horse

It seems older know more. They are cocky though. They talk about how they've been though it all and some have. They think they have the answers to everything because they've been through it all and made the choices. I am 20 and i am going through a hell of a lot. It's stuff I've never been through and have no idea how to deal with. I make the choices I believe to be the best choices but they be the wrong choices. I am okay with that because I realize I'm growing and to grow you have to fall and you have to fail and you have to make bad choices that bite you in the ass and make you say, "that was wrong." But now i know. Older people judgmentally look at younger people and laugh at their ignorance because they know better. They'll talk and talk and give advice and bitch about they're older and been through it all. They say, "do this, it's the right thing." Have they ever hopped off their horse and put on their old, beat up, and torn shoes they were in when they were young? They were in that same dam position and guess what? THEY DID WHATEVER THE FUCK THEY WANTED!! They had people telling them what they should do and what did they do?? They didn't listen and did what they thought was right. So yeah they're older and know more but it's because they made their own choices and fell. Parents are big hypocrites. They constantly push and push on their children to be responsible and grow up but when the kid actually wants to do something responsible their parents bitch at them because they aren't old enough and hold them back! LET THEM GO! They are people and they have opinions and they make choices that have nothing to do with parents. But parents treat them like dogs that if they don't do what the parents want they are smacked on the nose and put in time-out. Let the kid grow up.

There is a beautiful girl 700 miles away that I desperately want to be with for the rest of my life. I just want to see her, but i can't. Why? Because older people won't let her make the drive. It's a long drive and I would prefer her to not drive but i believe in her that she can do it. I love her more than anything and don't want anything to happen to her but she has to live. I wish for one second parents would remember what it was like to be in love and with the person they wanted to be with forever and how they would've done anything to see them or be with them. But no... they forget and shrug their shoulders and just say whatever. BUT THEY FORGET! But whatever... they're always right, right? They always make the right choices. Bullshit. Admit you're wrong once in a dam while and get off your high horse and remember what it was like to grow up.
